Background
Guess The Score was originally founded in 2002 by Dean Goodison for the World Cup in Japan/South Korea. This first competition was contested by only five members, all from the same family. Dispite the success of this primative tournament, Guess The Score did not continue past the 2002 World Cup. It would be 9 years later, that the Guess The Score that we know today was pioneered forward by a teenage Jason Goodison. In the previous years Guess The Score has undergone radical and revolutionary changes. Guess The Score awoke into the technological era through email communication in the early years and last season Guess The Score launched its very own website along with Twitter and Facebook accounts. Apart from technology, Guess The Score has also trippled the number of players and increased cash prizes for winners. Every advance made with the goal of making Guess The Score more accessible to all its players. Guess The Score's metoeric rise to a respectible football competition was not all linear however. In March 2015, Guess The Score lost one its all time greats, Nuala Spiers. We at Guess The Score felt it necesseary to honour our great friend and decided to purchase a trophy for the Guess The Score winner to take home each year entitled 'The Nuala Spiers Memorial Trophy'. It has become the competitons most coveted prize.
